Profile
My professional journey has grown across media, public communication, cultural institutions, international development, and emerging technologies.
I began in the early 1990s with modest contributions to local newspapers and early visual storytelling through video work. Over time, that early interest developed into a career spanning journalism, radio, television, editorial leadership, cultural programming, institutional communication, and programme support.
My work brings together several connected worlds: the discipline of broadcasting, the responsibility of public institutions, the cultural value of national platforms such as Jaber Al Ahmad Cultural Centre, and the development-oriented mission of UN-Habitat in Kuwait and the GCC.
Alongside this professional path, I maintain a strong interest in artificial intelligence and digital systems. I explore how AI can support research, drafting, media production, knowledge organisation, business processes, and more efficient institutional operations.
At the centre of this portfolio is one idea: communication is not only about producing content. It is about shaping meaning, supporting institutions, serving public value, and using technology wisely.
Professional Journey
Early Years: The First Voice and the First Frame
1990-1993
My earliest steps into media began in the early 1990s, following the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait. As a teenager, I made modest journalistic contributions to local newspapers through correspondence with writers and participation in readers’ opinion sections.
During the same period, I worked independently as a video photographer for social occasions, filming, editing, adding sound, and assembling short clips with the simple tools available at the time.
These early experiences introduced me to two foundations that would later shape my professional path: the power of words in public life, and the discipline of visual storytelling through timing, rhythm, emotion, and audience attention.
University Years: Politics, Media, and Public Life
1993–1998
During my undergraduate years, I studied Political Science while actively contributing to university newspapers, magazines, student media, and election campaign materials.
I worked as a writer, journalist, photographer, and graphic designer, experiences that deepened my understanding of how media influences public life. Those years helped connect political awareness with communication practice and shaped my belief that media is not only a profession, but a force that frames how people understand events, institutions, and society.
Professional Years: Media, Institutions, and Public Communication
1999-to present
My professional career expanded across print, radio, television, public relations, production, coordination, and editorial leadership.
I have worked across different parts of the media chain, from writing, editing, presenting, production, and coordination to editorial review, public communication, and institutional support. This experience gave me a practical understanding of how messages are developed, refined, delivered, and received.
Despite the demands of professional life, the journey of knowledge and learning has never stopped. Each role, project, institution, and challenge has become part of a continuous education, deepening my understanding of media, public service, culture, development, and the technologies shaping the future of work.

International Development Chapter

This experience includes support for local and regional efforts connected to the Sustainable Development Goals, Kuwait’s national vision, environmental sustainability, climate awareness, green initiatives, and pathways toward carbon neutrality.

Technology & AI Chapter
AI, Technology, and Intelligent Workflows
Artificial intelligence and emerging technology are an important personal and professional interest. I explore AI not as a separate job title, but as an applied layer that can strengthen work across media, development, research, communication, and institutional operations.
This includes hands-on experimentation with AI-assisted workflows, research agents, drafting tools, media-support systems, knowledge organisation, automation, and decision-support.
